TAMPA AIRPORT MARRIOTT COMPLETES TRANSFORMATIONAL GUEST ROOM RENOVATION
Design theme pays homage to the city’s unique cultural tapestry
TAMPA, FLORIDA, OCTOBER 15, 2025: The Tampa Airport Marriott just finished a complete renovation of its 298 rooms including three suites, as announced today by Scott McClinton, General Manager. Situated in the Airport Terminal, the hotel’s renovation coincides with the overall expansion program at Tampa International Airport. With a recent resurgence in airport hotels, travelers seek properties offering more than a layover and that provide exceptional amenities, convenient and comfortable experiences and unique offerings.
In addition to the guest rooms, the Concierge Lounge and elevators were renovated. Completed in late 2022, the hotel’s meeting space reflects an atmosphere which blends a work environment with the ability to converse, collaborate and connect. The lobby, restaurants and bar will be renovated next year, completing the hotel’s transformation.
The inviting guest room decor by Griege Goods Studio represents Tampa’s culturally vibrant community nestled on the Gulf Coast of Florida. More specifically, the modern design theme pays homage to the skilled craftsmen who made Tampa the “Cigar Capital of the World” and to highlight the lively spirit of local residents, past and present. Organic forms and natural textures inspired by the sea are replicated in finish and form with handcrafted details revealed throughout the elevated spaces in a deep blue color palette accented with warm tones.
Furthering a commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility, the hotel will be undergoing the LEED® certification process upon renovation completion. The guest room furniture has been donated to local community partners.
The hotel’s newly renovated guest rooms feature soundproof windows with dynamic runway views, plush bedding, a spacious work desk, Smart TVs with streaming services, mini-refrigerators, and Wi-Fi. A la carte dining is available to be delivered to the room.
